Blessing of the Graves of Priests at Rookwood
Join us on Saturday, 4th November at Rookwood Cemetery at 11am, as we visit the graves of past priests who served at Granville and pray the Divine Office for the Dead. Fr Andrew will also bless the graves of these priests.
The parish bus will be available to take parishioners who may wish to attend but please note that spaces are very limited so please see Fr. Andrew if you would like to secure a space.
Alternatively, for those who will be driving, please consider offering to take a fellow parishioner with you that may not have the capability of getting to the cemetery themselves.
Directions to the Priest section at the cemetery are as follows:
1. Enter Rookwood Cemetery on the corner of East St. & Victoria St East, Lidcombe.
2. Continue down Necropolis Drive until you get to the roundabout (Necropolis Circuit).
3. Turn left onto Necropolis Circuit and then the first left to St. Michael the Archangel Chapel.
Please come along and join us in praying for the repose of the souls of these priests who served our parish, particularly as the Church honours the Holy Souls in Purgatory throughout the month of November.
