Solemnity of Corpus Christi at Holy Cross Granville

On Sunday, 19 June, the Church honours the Most Precious Body and Blood of Our Lord with the Solemnity of Corpus Christi.

To honour the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Our Lord truly present in the Blessed Sacrament, the parish will mark the hours of the day with Holy Masses, a procession, and devotions.

At the close of Holy Mass at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church, a procession of the Blessed Sacrament will be move from the church around the neighbouring streets and to MacKillop Hall. In MacKillop Hall lauds (morning prayer) will be prayed and the Blessed Sacrament will be exposed for adoration until 2:30 p.m., when none (prayer after midday) will be prayed followed by Holy Mass at 3:00 p.m. In the evening, at the close of Holy Mass at 5:00 p.m. at Holy Family Church, the Blessed Sacrament will be exposed for adoration.

Join us on this most solemn day to honour and adore Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament, to deepen your own devotion to the Eucharist and to receive the tremendous graces that flow from the altar, and to pray in reparation for the terrible sins committed daily against the Blessed Sacrament.
